Board Chairman
Kivulini Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees that ensures the work done by the organization remains true to the vision of the Trust. The Board of Trustees appoints the Chief Executive Officer who provides oversight and oversees implementation of the Trust and lead in the day to day management of the Trust. Team of dedicated and qualified staff attends to the day operations of the Trust. An Advisory Council of Elders provides wisdom and link to the grass-root communities.

Prof. Denge Galgalo (Board Chairman) has been involved in various programs aimed at uplifting the quality of the lives of the peoples of the north. He has genuine interest in the welfare of the people and the natural environment of northern Kenya region.
While at Cambridge (1997-2001), he organized a camel walk from Oxford to Cambridge which raised Sterling Pounds 35,000 for schools in northern Kenya. He holds a PhD (Theology) from the University of Cambridge and currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of St Paul’s University, Limuru, Kenya.

Ms Fatuma Adan Dullo
Board Member
Hon. Fatuma hails from Isiolo, Kenya has extensive work experience – having served as a District Officer 1989-94), Assistant Secretary/Legal Officer with the Ministry of Health (1995-2006), Human Rights / Legal Advisor with United Development Programme – Kenya (UNDP) (2006-2007).
Fatuma is Member of Law Society of Kenya – Advocate for the High Court of Kenya; FIDA Kenya and Board Member Pastoralist women Access to justice. Her written works includes the development of critical analysis of wildlife conservation Bill, participation in re-drafting of wildlife conservation Bill and presentation of Wagalla massacre case before African Commission in Swaziland in 2008.

Adele Tura Halake

is the Marketing & Services Africa/Middle East Division / Regional HR Manager TOTAL Kenya Ltd, ensuring good quality of staff management/people management; career, recruitment and selection, training and development; systems management; positions, employment, structure, compensation and benefits packages, welfare, payroll administration; Industrial relations management; rules and regulations, compliance with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, Disciplinary and grievances handling among others.
His stint with the leading media company in East and Central Africa gave him the necessary exposure and knowledge required to excel in a very competitive multi-cultural business environment.

Ummuro Adano
Board Member
A native of Marsabit, Kenya is an international development consultant. He currently works for Management Sciences for Health (MSH) a non-profit organization based in the US. He lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with his wife and two boys.
He has lived and worked in several countries in eastern and southern Africa – working on health, education and social protection projects – for international organizations such as the British Council, DFID, and Save the Children.
Mr. Adano earned a Masters degree in health policy, planning and financing from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) and a Bachelors degree in education from the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK). He also received a merit diploma from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
